Blue Angels
This was a fun one.
I recreated the Blue Angels Edition Ford Mustang GT500 completely in Adobe Illustrator — no auto-trace, no shortcuts, just a ton of paths, points, and patience.
I started with a photo reference and hand-built everything from the ground up, panel by panel. Every curve, light reflection, and body line was drawn manually, layering gradients and transparency effects to give it that realistic, high-gloss look. Even the wheels, brakes, and logos were built as their own clean vector elements so everything stays sharp no matter how big you scale it.
I also corrected the perspective so the car would have a straight, distortion-free view — kind of like what you’d see in a concept art book or a marketing render. The whole goal was to keep it looking as real as possible while still being 100% vector and ready for anything from small prints to huge wraps.
This project shows how far you can push Illustrator when you really dig into the details.
